I am the technology coordinator for the Sager Solomon Schechter Middle School in Northbrook, Illinois, where I teach middle school students and teachers about computers and the Internet. I work with students who create web pages and multimedia projects, teach digital photography and movie editing, and instruct teachers on ways they can use the Internet in their curriculum.
I've been working with technology for about 13 years; mostly on the Macintosh platform. I created the first desktop publishing department for Rust-Oleum Corporation when desktop computing was in its infancy, and have worked as a corporate software trainer and an applications analyst for a software developer. Three years ago I decided to finally use my degree in education and went to work as a technology coordinator.
I have also taught religious school for the last 25 years and an the family educator at Lakeside Congregation for Reform Judaism. I am working to develop areas where we can incorporate technology into the religious school curriculum and would love to hear what other religious school teachers are doing. Visit my other website, Muse for Jews, for more on that.
